Spherion offers an extensive and structured training program designed to support franchisees and their staff in operating a successful staffing business. The key training programs are as follows:

  1. New Franchisee Launch (NFL) Program: This foundational program includes over 380 hours for franchisees and 120+ hours for colleagues. Training covers sales, recruiting, marketing, operations, and legal compliance, delivered in Atlanta and online, both pre- and post-office opening.
  2. Advanced Recruiter Training: This session provides deep insights into market and recruiting analysis, candidate sourcing, communication, technology usage, and strategy development for recruiting staff.
  3. Role-Based and On-Site Training: Customized sessions are provided for various roles, including business development managers and recruiters. Training may be delivered in person, by phone, or online at the franchisor’s discretion.
  4. Ongoing and Continuing Education: Franchisees and employees must complete ongoing training programs as required by the franchisor. Additional fees may apply for travel, accommodations, and training services.

Territory Protection

Spherion grants franchisees a designated Area to operate their staffing business, typically defined by political boundaries or ZIP codes. Within this Area, franchisees are expected to establish and maintain at least one full-service office.

However, Spherion does not guarantee exclusive territorial rights, and franchisees may face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, or different distribution channels owned by Spherion or its affiliates.

The franchisor retains the right to reduce or remove market areas if franchisees fail to meet gross profit quotas or maintain a physical presence in the market. Additionally, Spherion or its affiliates may establish offices or conduct business in the franchisee’s territory under different trademarks.
