Training

Satellite Teams provides a comprehensive training program for its franchisees, which includes several structured and ongoing training opportunities designed to ensure operational success:

1. Initial Franchisee Training Program: This program is mandatory and must be completed to the Franchisor’s satisfaction before the business can begin operations. It includes both virtual and in-person training sessions. Topics covered include business orientation, operations, recruitment fundamentals, sourcing strategies, candidate presentation, onboarding procedures, labor compliance, recruitment tools, and performance reviews. While the training itself is free for the franchisee and one additional person, all travel and lodging expenses are the responsibility of the franchisee.
2. Business Foundation & Fundamentals: Conducted in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, this is a 9-hour on-the-job training segment that complements the virtual classroom training. It provides hands-on experience in essential business practices.
3. Ongoing Training Programs: Franchisees are required to attend up to 10 days of ongoing training each year, which may be conducted virtually or in-person at a location designated by the Franchisor. These programs help reinforce and update operational knowledge.
4. National Business Meeting or Annual Convention: Franchisees are expected to attend a 3-day national meeting or convention annually. Missing this mandatory event without approved make-up participation is considered a breach of the agreement.

Territory Protection

Satellite Teams does not offer exclusive territory protection to its franchisees. When a franchisee signs the agreement, they are granted a non-exclusive license to operate, meaning they may face competition from other Satellite Teams franchisees, the franchisor itself, or affiliated businesses.

Franchisees are allowed to solicit and serve clients nationally within registered states, but they are not guaranteed territorial exclusivity. The franchisor reserves the right to operate or license additional businesses, even those using the same marks, in any location—including areas adjacent to an existing franchisee's office.

Franchisees are also not given options or rights of first refusal for other territories, and any additional units require separate franchise agreements. This structure allows Satellite Teams to expand broadly without territorial constraints for its operators.
