Snapchef is a U.S. foodservice staffing and kitchen-management franchise that supplies trained culinary professionals to commercial kitchens. The company was founded in 2002 in Massachusetts.
It is headquartered in Worcester, Massachusetts, and has grown into a major staffing partner for hospitals, universities, corporate cafeterias, hotels, and large-scale foodservice operations.
The franchise offers temporary and permanent staffing, kitchen-workflow consulting, and culinary training. Snapchef also provides its own technology platform that streamlines scheduling and staff deployment. Its internal FastTrack training program prepares new workers for entry-level kitchen roles in as little as 20 hours, supporting consistent labor quality.
Snapchef began franchising in 2022 as it expanded beyond the New England market. Its model is unique because it does not sell food or operate restaurants. Instead, it focuses on delivering trained kitchen staff and operational support, giving franchisees a lower-overhead business with steady demand across multiple industries.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.

Snapchef® provides a multi-phase training program to prepare franchisees and their teams for effective business operation. Training must be completed before business commencement, with required attendance by the Managing Owner and at least one manager. Here are the main programs:
Snapchef® provides its franchisees with a defined "Marketing Territory" once a location is approved, generally encompassing a population of approximately 750,000 people.
While franchisees are not granted exclusive territory, Snapchef® agrees not to authorize another franchisee to directly market services or open an office within your assigned territory during the agreement term—provided you're in good standing.
However, this protection is subject to Snapchef®'s “Reserved Rights,” which include the ability to open locations outside your territory and engage in partnerships or mergers with businesses offering similar services.
