CycleBar is a prominent fitness club franchise specializing in indoor cycling, based in Irvine, California. Recognized as the world's largest cycling studio chain, it was established in 2004 by siblings Bill Pryor and Alex Klemmer.
The franchise provides a range of indoor cycling sessions designed to be both low-impact and high-intensity, catering to individuals of all fitness levels.
Each studio features state-of-the-art equipment and a welcoming atmosphere to ensure an exceptional experience for members. CycleBar's instructors are highly trained to deliver motivating and effective workouts, fostering a strong sense of community among riders.
CycleBar started franchising in 2015 and has since expanded to over 250 locations across the United States and internationally. It is a part of the Xponential Fitness portfolio, which includes other well-known brands such as Club Pilates, Row House, Stretch Lab, Yoga Six, and AKT.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
Initial Training Programs
Prior to launching the Studio, franchisees, or their designated Operating Principal if the franchisee is an entity, must complete the Initial Training Program. This comprehensive program usually spans 2-3 business days and takes place at CycleBar's corporate headquarters or another specified training facility, often located in California.
Additional Training for Studio Operation
CycleBar may offer and require franchisees, along with their Operating Principal and Designated Manager, to participate in up to five (5) days of supplementary training each year at a designated training facility. This mandatory training is provided without any additional training fees.
Instructor Bootcamp
All instructors hired by the franchisee to deliver the Approved Services at the Studio are required to complete CycleBar's proprietary Instructor Bootcamp. This specialized program equips instructors with the necessary skills and guidelines to deliver the Approved Services in alignment with CycleBar's System.
CycleBar offers territory protection to its franchisees, guaranteeing that no other CycleBar Studio will be established within the franchisee's Designated Territory, provided they remain in compliance with their franchise agreement.
This protection ensures that franchisees can confidently grow their business without the concern of nearby competition from the same brand.
By securing an exclusive area, franchisees can build a loyal customer base and maximize their market potential. CycleBar's commitment to territory protection reflects their dedication to the success and support of their franchise network.
