Vertica Fitness Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Vertica Fitness is a boutique pole fitness franchise offering classes, parties, and skill training, serving fitness enthusiasts and new learners, and known for low startup cost, turnkey curriculum, and inclusive, community-driven branding.

Vertica Fitness is a boutique fitness franchise centered on inclusive pole fitness and movement classes. The concept combines strength, flexibility, and dance with a mission that “every BODY belongs.” Founded by Katrina Wyckoff in 2022, Vertica emerged from her vision to reimagine studio fitness through body-positive, community-driven experiences.

Operating under Vertica Fitness Franchising, Inc., the company is legally registered as an Arizona corporation, formed in April 2022, with its headquarters located in Tucson, Arizona.

The franchise opportunity was launched the same year, offering qualified entrepreneurs the chance to open their own Vertica studios and bring the brand’s unique fitness concept to new communities.

Vertica offers memberships, fitness classes, private lessons, choreography and dance classes, and skill-based pole training. It also provides branded merchandise and studio-related services that enhance the client experience.

Training

Vertica Fitness provides a multi-layered training program to ensure franchisees are equipped to operate their studios successfully. The franchisor mandates completion of training within three months of the agreement’s effective date. The training includes structured instruction, on-site support, and additional options for staff development.

  1. Initial Training Program
Vertica Fitness conducts an initial training program primarily at its Tucson, Arizona headquarters, utilizing hands-on instruction, videos, operations manuals, and training materials. Attendance is mandatory for the franchisee or, in the case of an entity, its principals. There is no fee for the training of the franchisee and one coach, but travel, lodging, and meals are at the franchisee’s expense.
  2. Additional Training or Seminars
The franchisor may require franchisees to attend further training or seminars either in person or virtually. This training can cost up to $250 per person per day, in addition to travel and lodging expenses. Attendance may be required to maintain operational standards or update knowledge.
  3. Coach Training
Franchisees may send additional coaches to Vertica’s headquarters for training. The cost for this optional training is up to $1,000 per coach per day, along with any travel and living costs. This supports franchisees in building a qualified instructional team for their location.

Territory Protection

Vertica Fitness grants franchisees an exclusive territory, ensuring no other company-owned or franchised outlet using the same or similar trademarks will be established within that area. This protection is not contingent on performance and remains fixed despite population or market changes.

However, Vertica may still market or sell within the territory through other channels like the internet or direct marketing. While customer inquiries may be directed to the franchisee, the franchisor is not obligated to do so.
