Cultivate Food + Coffee

Cultivate Food + Coffee Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Cultivate Food + Coffee is a farm-to-table franchise offering brunch, coffee, and café fare in European-style settings, focusing on artisanal ingredients, upscale ambiance, and robust franchisor support.

Cultivate Food + Coffee is a modern brunch and coffee franchise concept founded in 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia. Headquartered in Canton, Georgia, the brand blends Southern brunch fare with premium coffee in a farm‑to‑table model. The founders were inspired to merge southern comfort food with exceptional coffee in an artful, European‑café meets Great Gatsby era atmosphere.

The franchise began franchising in 2022 and has since expanded with plans to grow across multiple states, including Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, and Texas. Cultivate supports franchisees with comprehensive training, operational guidance, and branding support as it scales its presence throughout the Southeast.

Cultivate Food + Coffee offers made‑from‑scratch brunch dishes, fresh salads, sandwiches, organic small‑batch coffee roasted in‑house, cocktails, and branded merchandise. Menu favorites include avocado toast, shrimp and grits, vegan hash, salmon hash, Nashville chicken biscuits, and sweet beignets, along with handcrafted cocktails in select locations.

What sets Cultivate apart is its commitment to high‑quality ingredients, fair‑trade organic coffee, stylish café ambiance, and strong hospitality culture. The brand delivers more than just food and beverages—it creates a full sensory and social experience, combining culinary innovation with lifestyle appeal.

Training

Cultivate Food & Coffee offers a comprehensive training program to ensure consistency in operations and standards across franchise locations. Here's an organized overview of the training provided:

  1. Initial Training Program: Cultivate provides a 2-3 week certified training program that must be completed by three designated managers, including the Operating Partner. This training includes classroom and in-store instruction conducted quarterly or as needed, generally starting 90 days before the unit opens.
  2. Training for Replacement Managers: Any replacement manager must complete the initial training or a comparable approved program. This includes a mandatory one-week training at the franchisor’s headquarters for certification. Franchisees bear all associated travel and lodging expenses.
  3. Franchisee-Led Training Program: Franchisees must implement an approved training program for all unit personnel and ensure ongoing training compliance. Anyone failing to complete training satisfactorily must be replaced immediately.

Territory Protection

Cultivate Food & Coffee provides franchisees with a limited form of territorial protection through a defined “Franchise Territory.” Within this area, Cultivate agrees not to operate or license another Cultivate Unit at a traditional site.

However, this protection excludes “Non-Traditional Sites” such as airports, hospitals, or campuses, where Cultivate may still establish units even within the designated territory.

Despite the protected territory, the franchisor reserves broad rights. Cultivate and its affiliates can sell products through any method—online, retail stores, or other distribution channels—inside the franchisee’s territory.
