Squeeze In is a lively breakfast and lunch restaurant brand that began in 1974 in Truckee, California. The concept became known for its oversized omelettes, hearty brunch plates, and fun, family-friendly atmosphere.
In 2004 the Young family purchased the original restaurant and began shaping it into a scalable concept with strong systems and a clear identity.
The franchise is headquartered in Reno, Nevada. Squeeze In began franchising in 2014 as demand grew for its daytime-only model and its strong brand personality. The concept appeals to investors who want a simple operational structure, a single-shift business, and a customer base that loves upbeat breakfast and brunch dining.
Squeeze In serves a wide menu of breakfast and lunch dishes, including omelettes, pancakes, burritos, eggs Benedict, burgers, and gluten-free and vegan options. The brand differentiates itself with a fun, quirky décor, guest-signed walls, and a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere. Many locations also feature boozy brunch cocktails, which help increase average ticket size.

Squeeze In offers a comprehensive training program for its franchisees to ensure consistent operations across its restaurants. The training covers both the pre-opening phase and ongoing operations.
Initial Training Program Squeeze In requires the Controlling Principal/General Manager, Kitchen Manager, and up to two additional approved team members (collectively the “Training Team”) to attend initial training in Reno, Nevada. This training must begin at least six weeks before the restaurant opens and be completed no later than two weeks before opening. The General Manager trains for up to four weeks, and other team members for up to three weeks.
Opening Assistance The franchisor provides up to three representatives to assist with pre-opening and opening operations. These representatives support the franchisee with hands-on training, supervision, and operational assistance for about six consecutive days surrounding the restaurant’s launch.
Additional and Refresher Training Squeeze In may periodically offer or require additional training sessions, seminars, or programs for franchisee staff. These can be mandatory or optional, and franchisees must ensure their employees complete any such training as directed.
Territory Protection
Squeeze In does not provide exclusive territorial rights. Franchisees receive a defined area—usually a 3-mile radius—but the franchisor may still operate or license others within or near that area, including special venues like airports or retail channels.
While the franchisor agrees not to open another full-size Squeeze In restaurant in the assigned area if the franchisee complies fully, this does not prevent competition from company-owned outlets, other franchisees, or alternative sales channels.
