USA Insulation Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

USA Insulation offers energy-efficient insulation solutions for homes and buildings, promoting energy savings, comfort, and reduced utility costs.

Since its founding in 1985, USA Insulation has become a top name in residential and commercial insulation services across the United States. Based in Cleveland, Ohio, the company has long focused on helping homeowners and businesses boost energy efficiency and indoor comfort.

In 2006, USA Insulation expanded its reach by launching a franchise program, giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to join its mission of providing high-quality insulation solutions.

The company offers a wide array of services, including its signature USA Premium Foam® Insulation, along with blown-in attic insulation, spray foam applications, and air sealing solutions.

A standout in their lineup is the USA Premium Foam® Insulation, which features an impressive R-Value of 5.1 per inch—up to 35% higher than traditional insulation options. This innovative foam is engineered to fully fill wall cavities, delivering excellent thermal performance and helping customers achieve substantial energy savings.

USA Insulation offers a comprehensive training system to prepare franchisees and their teams for successful operations. Here’s a numbered summary of the training provided:

  1. Initial Training Program
Franchisees, their owners, and key personnel must complete the Initial Training Program before opening, covering areas like marketing, sales, installation, safety, and operations, provided either at the headquarters, a designated facility, or remotely.
  2. Replacement Personnel Training
Any new or replacement managers, installers, or sales staff must complete the Initial Training Program or relevant portions, with associated training fees and expenses paid by the franchisee.
  3. Third-Party Training
Franchisees and managers must also attend specialized training conducted by approved suppliers to gain additional technical and operational knowledge.
  4. Additional and Refresher Training
The franchisor may require additional or refresher courses for franchisees, managers, and installers, delivered in person or remotely, to maintain system standards.

Territory Protection

USA Insulation grants franchisees a Designated Territory where no other USA Insulation business will be physically located, as long as the franchisee meets performance standards.

The franchisor, however, can sell through e-commerce, mail order, or other channels in that territory without compensation to the franchisee. Franchisees may serve customers outside their territory if it doesn’t conflict with another franchisee’s area.

If a franchisee fails to meet minimum productivity levels for three periods, the franchisor can reduce the territory or license other businesses there. The franchisor also retains the right to operate under different brands and channels, both inside and outside the territory.
