Training

Sir Grout Franchising provides a comprehensive training program to ensure that franchisees are fully prepared to operate their businesses. The training offerings are structured as follows:

1. Initial Training Program: Franchisees, along with their Operating Principal or manager, must attend a five-day Initial Training Program that includes classroom instruction and hands-on learning. Topics covered include sales and marketing basics, equipment knowledge, technical application training, mobile system and estimate training, accounting and reporting systems, ordering processes, and daily operational routines.
2. Stone Restoration Training: In addition to the Initial Training, franchisees and their managers are required to complete a specialized stone restoration training course before offering these services. This training is conducted separately, and the franchisor or a designated trainer charges a tuition fee for participation.
3. Additional and Specialized Training: Sir Grout Franchising may periodically require franchisees or their managers to attend further training courses to maintain high standards of operation. These additional training sessions can cover new products, specialized services, or updated operational techniques, and participants are responsible for any associated travel, lodging, and other expenses.
4. Training for New Managers: If a franchisee hires new or replacement managers during the term of the franchise agreement, those individuals must also complete the then-current Initial Training Program to Sir Grout’s satisfaction, ensuring consistent quality across all franchise locations.

Territory Protection

Sir Grout Franchising offers limited territory protection to its franchisees, granting them a specific, but not exclusive, geographic area to operate their business. Franchisees are assured that Sir Grout will not establish or license another Sir Grout outlet physically located within their assigned territory, as long as they remain in compliance with their franchise agreement.

The territory is typically determined based on factors such as population density, qualified household income, and competing businesses. Despite this protection, Sir Grout retains significant rights that affect exclusivity.

The franchisor and its affiliates can operate under different trademarks or distribute similar products and services through alternative channels such as the internet, even within a franchisee’s territory. Additionally, while franchisees are protected against direct competition from another Sir Grout outlet in their area, they are not granted broader territorial, market, or sales rights beyond what is explicitly outlined in their agreement.
