Training

Ultra Pool Care Squad provides a detailed training program for franchisees to ensure consistent service quality and brand standards. The training offerings include the following programs:

  1. Initial Training Program: The Designated Owner and Operating Manager must attend a comprehensive training course prior to opening the business. This training, held at the franchisor’s facility in Knoxville, Tennessee (or another designated location), typically spans two weeks and covers essential operational procedures. There is no fee for this program, but attendees are responsible for travel and lodging expenses.
  2. Pool Cover Services Training: If the franchisee signs the Pool Cover Addendum, they must also complete additional training focused on pool cover services. This program is mandatory for the Designated Owner, and if applicable, for any pool technicians and is subject to the same logistical arrangements as the initial training.
  3. Ongoing and Refresher Training: The franchisor may require the Designated Owner, Operating Manager, or other employees to participate in further training sessions periodically. These can be in-person or via online platforms and are designed to maintain up-to-date operational standards. Franchisees bear the full cost of these additional training activities.

Territory Protection

Ultra Pool Care Squad offers its franchisees a defined protected territory as part of their franchise agreement. The franchisor agrees not to establish or authorize another Ultra Pool Care Squad business offering pool care, cleaning, and maintenance services within the designated territory, provided the franchisee complies with the agreement.

This territorial exclusivity is limited and does not cover all services. Despite this protection, the franchisor and other franchisees may still offer pool repair services within the protected territory.

Additionally, the franchisee must conduct business solely within the assigned territory unless written permission is obtained. While marketing and operations are generally restricted to this area, the franchisor retains the right to allow operations outside it, including the possibility of revoking such permissions or reallocating territories if adjacent areas become franchised.
