Trolley Pub, Trolley Party, Paddle Pub, and Tiki Pub are part of a lifestyle-focused franchise network offering pedal-powered experiences on both land and water. These franchises specialize in social touring, where groups book shared outings for celebrations, corporate events, or casual fun.

Each brand delivers a unique twist on group entertainment, using custom multi-passenger bikes or boats to create memorable and interactive experiences. The concept began in 2011 when the first Trolley Pub operation launched in Tucson, Arizona.

As demand grew, the brand expanded into multiple cities and later evolved into a multi-brand system that also includes Paddle Pub and Tiki Pub. The parent company now oversees national development and provides centralized franchise training, operational support, and marketing systems from its headquarters.

Trolley Pub offers a pedal-powered party bike that typically seats 14 to 16 riders and moves through city streets for bar stops, sightseeing, and private events. Paddle Pub brings the same group-driven energy to the water with large cycle boats that accommodate up to 26 passengers for music-filled cruises. Tiki Pub adds a laid-back, island-inspired boat experience, giving smaller groups a tropical-themed outing on the water.

These brands differentiate themselves by delivering immersive experiences rather than traditional hospitality services. The tours are social, photo-worthy, and built for celebrations, making them popular for bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthdays, and team-building events.

Training

The Trolley Pub franchise, part of the TourScale brand family, offers a structured and multi-stage training program for its franchisees. Here’s a breakdown of the training components provided:

  1. Online Training Program
All TourScale Business owners must complete an online training module, lasting approximately seven hours. This program must be finished before attending the in-person New Owner Training. A computer with web and video capabilities is required for participation.
  2. New Owner Training
Franchisees and their business managers must complete a two-day, 16-hour in-person New Owner Training program. It is held either at the franchisee’s location or at one of the franchisor’s regional training centers. The training fee is $1,000 per person, and franchisees are responsible for all travel and living costs.
  3. Ongoing Training
TourScale may provide additional optional training sessions, regional meetings, or conferences throughout the year. While attendance is not always mandatory, franchisees are encouraged to participate, and they bear all associated expenses. These sessions are intended to keep franchisees updated on best practices and evolving systems.
  4. Remedial Training
If a franchisee fails to meet operational standards or cure a default, the franchisor may require remedial training. These sessions may incur additional fees, and the franchisee must cover all travel and related costs. Remedial training ensures compliance with operational procedures outlined in the Franchise Agreement.

Territory Protection

The Trolley Pub franchise, operated under the TourScale brand, offers a defined Protected Territory to its franchisees. This territory typically includes the area that can be reached within a ten-mile driving distance from the franchisee’s approved Base of Operations.

While the franchisor agrees not to operate or license another franchise under the same brand within this defined area, this protection is conditional and can be adjusted based on market conditions, population density, or operational performance.

However, the territory protection is not exclusive in the broader sense. TourScale retains the right to operate or license other brands or business concepts—even those that may compete with the franchise—within the same Protected Territory.
