Social Play Haus is a modern, family-focused franchise that blends childcare, casual dining, and community social spaces. The brand was founded in 2019 under the parent company Prosocial Play Inc. It is headquartered in Plainview, New York, where the original concept was developed and launched.

The company began franchising in 2023. Social Play Haus offers a unique hybrid model combining a beer-garden, coffee-haus, and restaurant with a safe, modern indoor play area for children. Parents can enjoy quality food, drinks, and social time while their kids explore curated play zones designed for creativity and interaction.

What sets Social Play Haus apart is its integrated concept that bridges three industries: family entertainment, foodservice, and community gathering spaces. The brand emphasizes sensory-conscious play design, high-quality café and bar offerings, and a welcoming environment where adults and children can enjoy the experience together.

Training

Social Play Haus delivers a comprehensive training program for franchisees to prepare them for successful operations:

  1. Initial Training Program: The Managing Owner and one designated manager must attend and successfully complete the initial training within 45 days of the scheduled or actual business start date. This program spans approximately two weeks and includes classroom and on-the-job instruction at the training facility in Plainview, New York, or via remote sessions as determined by the franchisor.
  2. Supplemental and System-Wide Training: The franchisor may require franchisees and managers to attend additional system-wide or refresher training programs, either in person or online. Supplemental training can also be held at the franchisee’s location, with associated fees of $500 per trainer per day plus travel expenses.
  3. Ongoing Training and Requirements: Franchisees are responsible for ensuring that all employees meet the franchisor’s training standards. If a new Operating Manager is hired, or operational standards are not met, the franchisor may mandate completion of additional training. Only individuals approved by the franchisor may participate in training, and all must sign appropriate agreements such as confidentiality or guarantee documents.

Territory Protection

Social Play Haus provides its franchisees with a Designated Territory upon approval of their restaurant location. This territory is generally the smaller of a five-mile radius by road or a population area of 100,000 people. In non-traditional locations such as malls or airports, the Designated Territory may be limited to the physical site boundaries.

Within this Designated Territory, the franchisor agrees not to license or operate another Social Play Haus location during the agreement term, provided the franchisee remains in compliance.

However, this protection does not restrict the franchisor from soliciting or accepting orders within the territory through other channels like e-commerce or third-party vendors. The franchisor also retains broad Reserved Rights to develop additional restaurants or businesses using the same or similar concepts both within and outside of the franchisee’s area.
