Bud's Place Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Bud’s Place is a lounge-franchise offering social-consumption cannabis lounges with food, beverages and entertainment, serving adults in regulated markets, and known for upscale ambiance, multiple revenue streams, and emerging industry positioning.

Bud’s Place is an innovative franchise concept positioned within the fast-growing sector of cannabis consumption lounges. Launched in 2019 by Bud’s Place Franchising, LLC, the brand was developed to give adults a comfortable, stylish and legally compliant venue where they can enjoy their own cannabis in a social atmosphere rather than being limited to private use at home.

The franchise is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, while also maintaining a corporate presence in Michigan, a reflection of its connection to the broader wave of cannabis legalization across the United States.

What makes Bud’s Place distinctive is its focus on creating a premium, community-oriented space centered on cannabis culture. Instead of mirroring the feel of a bar or traditional lounge, the brand promotes a high-quality, welcoming experience designed around its motto: “High. Quality. Fun.”

Training

Bud’s Place Franchising, LLC provides a structured and multi-phase training program to ensure that franchisees and their staff are fully equipped to operate a lounge effectively. Here’s a breakdown of the training programs:

  1. Initial Training Program
Bud’s Place offers an initial training program for up to two people at their headquarters or another designated location. This program is conducted prior to opening the lounge and includes training on operating procedures, service standards, and use of proprietary systems and manuals.
  2. Opening Assistance Training
Around the time of opening, the franchisor sends a representative to the franchisee’s location for up to five days to provide hands-on support and reinforcement of training. This includes assistance with daily operations and ensuring compliance with brand standards. For additional days of support, the franchisee must cover the cost.
  3. Ongoing Training and Seminars
After the lounge is operational, Bud’s Place may conduct ongoing training programs, seminars, and operational updates. These sessions, which may be mandatory, are designed for the franchisee, general manager, or staff, and may include new developments, management practices, and updated operational techniques.

Territory Protection

Bud’s Place Franchising, LLC does not grant exclusive territory protection to its franchisees. While the franchisor assists in site selection and provides a designated territory for marketing purposes, the franchisee is not guaranteed exclusive rights to that territory.

This means other Bud’s Place franchises or company-owned lounges may operate in the same or nearby areas, potentially creating market competition. Despite having a designated area for local marketing, the franchisor retains broad rights to operate or license other Bud’s Place Lounges without geographic restriction.

Franchisees are required to invest in local advertising and receive support for brand development, but the franchisor is not obligated to ensure proportional marketing expenditures in any one area.
