Training

Showhomes offers a comprehensive training structure to support its franchisees in operating their businesses effectively. The training programs include both initial and ongoing support elements, delivered through virtual and in-person formats. Here are the main training programs provided:

  1. New Owner Orientation Training
This initial training is mandatory for the Managing Principal and up to two employees, held at corporate headquarters in Coral Gables, Florida or virtually. It covers online training modules, lab instruction, classroom sessions, and on-the-job field training. Additional participants can be trained for a fee.
  2. Home Staging Certification
Franchisees receive certification as part of the onboarding process, equipping them with foundational skills necessary for operating within the home staging industry.
  3. Online Manuals and Assignments
Franchisees gain access to an online manuals system and must complete periodic assignments and discussions during the first year of operation. These materials cover operational standards, procedures, and best practices.
  4. Ongoing and Remedial Training
Showhomes provides periodic training programs, seminars, and conferences that franchisees are required to attend. Field training is also available based on operational needs or franchisee requests, sometimes at an hourly rate.

Territory Protection

Showhomes provides its franchisees with a defined territory to operate their business, known as a “Territory,” which is typically described in the franchise manuals or in writing. Franchisees are restricted from offering services within other franchisees’ Territories, thereby recognizing the geographical limits established for each business.

This structured territorial allocation is intended to reduce internal competition among franchisees within the Showhomes system. However, the territorial protection is not exclusive in all respects. The franchisor retains the right to establish and operate other Showhomes businesses outside the franchisee’s specific Location and may even authorize other entities to do so.

Additionally, the franchisor reserves the ability to promote and advertise the brand nationally, and to operate or license similar businesses under different arrangements, even near existing franchise territories.
