PremierGarage offers a comprehensive suite of training programs designed to equip franchisees with the operational and management skills necessary for success. The training includes both pre-opening and ongoing support components, focusing on practical, managerial, and technical aspects. Here are the primary training elements:
Initial Training – Provided to the Franchisee’s Manager and designated personnel before the operating date, this covers organizing business fundamentals such as design, measurement, installation, and marketing techniques. It includes instruction in franchisor policies and is held at times and locations determined by PremierGarage.
Staff Training – Franchisees are responsible for training their staff using proprietary materials provided during Initial Training. Additional responsible managers may attend the Initial Training if space allows.
Optional Training Courses – PremierGarage may offer seminars, conferences, or training courses for a reasonable fee. Some may become mandatory for continued franchise operation.
On-Site Assistance – Upon request, PremierGarage can provide on-site training support, subject to availability, for a fee plus expenses.
Territory Protection
PremierGarage provides franchisees with a protected but not exclusive territory. This means that while the franchisor will not establish another franchised business using the PremierGarage system and marks within the defined territory, competition may still arise from other channels such as franchisor-owned outlets or alternative distribution methods.
The territory is typically defined by ZIP codes and must include around 100,000 households. Despite this limited exclusivity, PremierGarage reserves the right to engage in various business activities within the territory that do not involve both the sale and installation of garage organizers and flooring.
The franchisor may also assign Key Accounts to other parties if a franchisee opts out of servicing them. Furthermore, activities in adjoining unassigned areas, or “Gray Areas,” are permissible only with consent and can be reassigned or sold by the franchisor without notice to the current franchisee.
