Training

Hydrogen Fitness offers a structured training program designed to ensure consistent operation and brand standards across its franchises. The training includes multiple formats and is mandatory for franchisees and key personnel before opening a franchised location. The programs are outlined below:

  1. Initial Training: Provided at Hydrogen Fitness's designated facility, this program must be completed by the franchisee (or their Operating Principal) and Key Manager at least 30 to 90 days before opening. It includes training for up to three individuals at no tuition cost, with franchisees responsible for related expenses like travel and lodging.
  2. Remote Instruction: Parts of the training may be conducted online using learning management systems, allowing the franchisor to monitor participation and completion.
  3. Discretionary On-Site Assistance: Around the time of business launch, the franchisor may send representatives for 1–2 days to provide setup assistance or refresher training, depending on their discretion.

Territory Protection

Hydrogen Fitness offers a form of territory protection to its franchisees through the designation of a “Designated Territory.” As long as the franchisee remains in compliance with the Franchise Agreement, the franchisor agrees not to establish or license another Hydrogen Fitness location within that defined territory.

The size and boundaries of this territory are typically determined based on zip codes, geographic landmarks, and demographic factors, and are specified in Attachment A of the agreement.

However, the protection is limited. The franchisor and its affiliates retain broad rights to operate or license other businesses under different names, even within the franchisee’s territory, and may also distribute similar or competitive services through other channels such as online sales or mail order.
