RiseUp Fitness provides a well-structured training and support program to equip franchisees with the tools and knowledge required for success. Here are the main components of their training program:

  1. Initial Training: Franchisees must attend and complete initial training conducted by RiseUp Fitness. This training is mandatory and assessed by the franchisor to determine satisfactory completion. It focuses on operational procedures and the franchise system.
  2. Opening Support: A RiseUp Fitness trainer will provide four days of on-site training and support during the opening of the franchise. This helps ensure a smooth and standard-compliant launch. The duration may be reduced for experienced franchisees opening additional outlets.
  3. Ongoing Training: Franchisees are required to attend mandatory additional training programs of up to four days annually, plus an annual business meeting or conference lasting up to three days. These sessions may incur tuition fees and franchisees must cover travel and lodging expenses. Failure to attend may be treated as a default under the Franchise Agreement.
  4. Remedial Training: Upon request or as deemed necessary by the franchisor, remedial on-site training is available. Franchisees must cover all associated trainer fees and travel costs.

Territory Protection

RiseUp Fitness grants its franchisees a designated territory, typically based on a group of contiguous zip codes and demographic factors, with a minimum population of around 50,000. This territory is formally defined and attached to the Franchise Agreement.

While franchisees are expected to secure an approved location within this area, they are not granted exclusive rights and may face competition from neighboring franchisees or alternative distribution channels.

The franchisor agrees not to license another RiseUp Fitness location within the defined territory as long as the franchisee meets performance standards and remains in good standing.

However, this protection is limited: RiseUp Fitness reserves the right to sell products and services in the same area via internet, retail partnerships, or other channels. These rights include offering competing concepts or brands, meaning territory protection is constrained despite formal boundaries.
