Blink Fitness Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Blink Fitness is a gym franchise that provides a clean and affordable workout environment with state-of-the-art equipment and friendly staff.

Headquartered in New York, Blink Fitness is a gym franchise owned and operated by Equinox Holdings, Inc.

Founded in 2011 by Stephen Ross, this fitness company has carved out a niche in the competitive fitness market with its innovative approach to exercise. Blink Fitness focuses on the emotional benefits of working out, encouraging fitness enthusiasts to enjoy the positive feelings that come from training.

The gym chain offers straightforward workout plans, top-notch strength training, and cardio equipment, all at affordable prices. Emphasizing mood enhancement over physical benefits, Blink Fitness began franchising in 2015. Today, the franchise boasts over 107 gyms worldwide, including 96 locations across the USA.

Training

Initial Orientation and Training This program may be conducted either at the franchisor's designated training facility or through an online platform. While there are no additional fees for the initial orientation and training programs, you will need to cover the compensation, travel, and living expenses for the Operating Principal and Club Manager during this period.

Opening Support After the successful completion of the initial training program and during the Gym’s opening phase, the franchise will offer up to five (5) days of on-site training for supervisory employees and provide opening support for the Gym.

Additional Training If the Operating Principal or Club Manager does not satisfactorily complete the initial training program, or if an inspection reveals that additional training is necessary to meet Brand Standards, the franchise may require them to attend further training sessions. You will be responsible for the attendees’ compensation and travel and living expenses during these additional training periods.

Ongoing and Supplemental Training The franchise may periodically require your Operating Principal and/or Club Manager to attend and complete various training courses, programs, and conventions offered either by the franchisor or third-party providers.

Territory Protection

The franchise offers territory protection to its franchisees, guaranteeing that no other Blink Fitness Gym will operate within the designated Protected Area of an existing franchisee. This ensures that each franchisee has a defined area where they can operate without direct competition from another Blink Fitness location.

This Protected Area is determined based on various factors, including market potential, population density, and the strategic goals of the franchise. By providing this exclusive territory, the franchise aims to help each location maximize its customer base and revenue potential, fostering a more successful and sustainable business environment for franchisees.
