Training

Garage Kings offers a comprehensive set of training programs to prepare its franchisees for success. Here’s a summary of the training provided by the franchisor:

  1. Initial Training Program
This includes product and installation training, sales training, business operations training, and marketing training. It is delivered through both virtual and in-person sessions at training centers in New Carlisle, Ohio, and Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and must be completed by the franchisee, Operating Principal, Business Manager, and installers.
  2. On-Site Training or Assistance
Franchisees can request additional on-site training beyond the initial program, though this is subject to the franchisor’s discretion. Costs for on-site training, including trainer expenses, are the responsibility of the franchisee.
  3. Ongoing Training
Garage Kings may require franchisees and their key staff to attend future training programs, which could be delivered online (e.g., webinars, video streaming) or in person, ensuring continued learning as the system evolves.

Territory Protection

Garage Kings assigns each franchisee a designated territory defined by zip codes, typically covering about 100,000 single-family homes. While you have the right to operate only within this area, the franchisor explicitly states that the territory is not exclusive, meaning you may face competition from other franchisees or company-owned outlets.

Additionally, the franchisor reserves the right to operate, franchise, or distribute products through other channels both inside and outside your territory. Garage Kings also retains the right to work with national, regional, and institutional accounts, which may involve projects within your territory without guaranteeing compensation to you.

If the franchisor receives orders for work inside your territory, they may offer you the opportunity to fulfill the work but are not obligated to do so. Furthermore, the franchisor and its affiliates can conduct business under other brands or trademarks within or near your territory, adding another layer of competitive flexibility on their part.
