FS8 Studio Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

FS8 Studio blends pilates, yoga, and functional training into dynamic workouts designed to improve flexibility, strength, and overall fitness in a supportive group setting.

FS8 is a pioneering fitness franchise that combines Pilates, yoga, and functional strength training into a single, integrated workout experience. Founded in 2020 in Manly, New South Wales, Australia, FS8 is part of the FIT Brands portfolio, which also includes F45 Training and Vaura Pilates.

The brand began franchising just two months later, in 2021, and is currently headquartered in Austin, Texas. FS8 delivers a unique 3-in-1 training model that blends reformer and mat Pilates, yoga flows, and strength-based toning exercises.

Each 50-minute class is designed to improve flexibility, mobility, strength, and mindfulness. The experience is enhanced by FS8 TV, a proprietary technology system that streams consistent, centrally programmed workouts to every studio.

What differentiates FS8 is its holistic, low-impact approach to fitness. The franchise caters to a wide demographic, including individuals seeking effective workouts without the strain of high-impact routines.

Training

FS8 provides a structured training program to ensure franchisees and their staff are fully equipped to operate a studio successfully.

  1. Induction Seminar: After executing the Franchise Agreement and an approved lease, franchisees must attend a 6-day induction seminar in Austin, Texas. The seminar costs $1,000 for two attendees, with an additional fee for extra participants.
  2. Initial Training: Within 30 days of executing the agreement, the franchisee’s Key Person, General Manager, and Studio Manager must complete an online initial training program. This training is mandatory and subject to evaluation by FS8, and failure to complete it satisfactorily can lead to termination of the agreement.
  3. Management Training for Successors: Any replacement for Key Person, General Manager, or Studio Manager must also complete FS8’s management training program, which may be online and includes associated costs.
  4. Remedial Training: FS8 may provide on-site remedial training upon request or when deemed necessary. Franchisees are responsible for all related expenses, including per diem fees and travel costs for FS8’s representatives.

Territory Protection

FS8 grants franchisees a defined "Protected Area," typically with a population of at least 15,000, where no other FS8 studio will be authorized during the agreement term, provided compliance is maintained. This area is formalized once the studio site is approved.

However, the protection is limited. FS8 may still advertise, sell products, and operate under different trademarks or systems within the Protected Area through other channels, including the Internet and Reserved Areas like airports or hotels. Franchisees cannot market or solicit customers outside their Protected Area.
