Training

CareDiem provides a thorough and multi-faceted training program designed to prepare franchisees for the effective operation of their home health care business.

1. Initial Training
   Franchisees, including at least one principal owner and the agency manager, must complete an initial training program to the franchisor’s satisfaction before opening. This training may be conducted individually or alongside other new franchisees and is led by experienced trainers. There is no fee for this training, but franchisees must cover their own travel and accommodation expenses.
2. Agency Manager Certification
   Any newly hired agency manager must sign up for and complete a certification training within 14 to 30 days of employment. The fee for this training is $3,000, although this amount may be adjusted by the franchisor.
3. Ongoing Training and Refresher Programs
   CareDiem requires up to three days of mandatory refresher training annually for franchisees, their owners, and managers. These programs can be held virtually or in-person at locations designated by the franchisor, with franchisees responsible for related costs. Additional support and training can also be requested at a rate of $500 per day plus trainer travel and lodging.

Territory Protection

CareDiem provides its franchisees with a protected territory to operate their franchised business, typically defined by ZIP codes and based on a minimum senior population of 30,000 residents aged 65 or older.

This territory is granted with the expectation that the franchisee will focus service efforts within the defined boundaries, and the franchisor agrees not to authorize another franchise or corporate operation using the same system within that territory, as long as the franchisee remains in compliance.

The size of the territory generally remains stable during the agreement term and can be expanded with additional fees if the franchisor approves. While CareDiem ensures initial territorial protection, there are stipulations regarding business activity outside the assigned area.
