BOR Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

BOR franchises specialize in providing water, fire, and contents cleaning services, as well as mold remediation and after-remediation repair services for residential, commercial, and governmental properties.

Founded in 2016 by seasoned entrepreneur Nick-Anthony Zamucen, Best Option Restoration (BOR) has quickly become a standout name in the disaster restoration industry.

Headquartered in Littleton, Colorado, the company began offering franchise opportunities in 2018. Since then, BOR has expanded to over 65 locations across the United States, with plans to continue its rapid growth.

BOR provides a full range of services, including water damage repair, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, storm damage recovery, contents cleaning, and large-loss commercial restoration.

What sets BOR apart from its competitors is its commitment to innovation and efficiency. The company uses proprietary thermal technology that dries structures in about half the time of traditional methods, cutting both labor costs and customer downtime.

Training

The franchise BOR Franchising, LLC offers several structured training programs for its franchisees:

  1. Initial Training
This is mandatory for the franchise owner (if a sole proprietor) or the designated Principal Operator or Manager. It typically spans five days with about 40 hours of instruction. Two people can attend without tuition if completed on time—one must finish before opening, and the second has up to 365 days after. Failing trainees may retake it once without extra tuition, but travel and lodging costs are the franchisee’s responsibility.
  2. Additional Training
BOR may offer optional or mandatory seminars, conferences, or specialized training, sometimes for a tuition fee. Franchisees pay for their travel and accommodation, and extra fees apply if more than two people are sent to initial training or if someone attends after the 365-day window.
  3. Post-Opening Assistance
The franchisor provides ongoing training updates, revisions to the Franchisee Manuals, and may conduct site visits or inspections. Additional training can also be requested by the franchisee, subject to approval and fees.

Territory Protection

BOR Franchising, LLC offers its franchisees an Exclusive Territory, meaning that as long as the franchisee complies with the agreement, no other franchise, company-owned, or affiliate-owned business will be placed within that area.

This allows the franchisee to serve clients only within their designated zone, with temporary permission to service nearby unassigned areas until another franchise is placed there.

However, this territorial protection does not guarantee success or profitability, and the franchisor explicitly states that performance is up to the franchisee.
