BODYROK is a dynamic fitness franchise offering 45-minute group classes that blend Pilates-inspired movements with full-body strength training. Conducted on their signature BODYROK reformers, each session is crafted to energize participants and boost their metabolism well beyond the studio.

Launched in 2012, BODYROK entered the franchising space the same year and has steadily grown its footprint in major U.S. markets, including San Francisco, New York City, and Chicago. Its studios are recognized for their sleek design and upbeat class environment.

What sets BODYROK apart is its innovative fusion of traditional Pilates with resistance-based training and high-tempo music. The result is a challenging, fast-paced workout experience designed to ignite sweat, amplify energy levels, and deliver extended post-class benefits.

Training

BodyROK provides a well-defined suite of training programs designed to prepare franchisees and their staff for operating a BodyROK studio. These programs focus on operational understanding, instructor readiness, and ongoing support.

  1. Initial Training Program: This includes a 4-day operations training for the General Manager and at least one Principal Equity Owner, and a separate 4-day instructor training for the Key Trainer and up to four instructors. All participants must satisfactorily complete this training before opening the studio.
  2. On-Site Opening Assistance: Franchisors may, at their discretion, provide approximately 4 days of on-site training and support at the franchisee’s location. This service is optional and costs $3,000, plus related travel and lodging expenses.
  3. Additional and Ongoing Training: BodyROK may require franchisees to attend further training, seminars, or conferences relevant to business operations. These sessions may be charged at up to $750 per day and are aimed at maintaining system standards.
  4. Mandatory Annual Meetings: Franchisees must attend one annual system-wide or regional meeting to review operations and updates. These meetings are mandatory for at least one Principal Equity Owner and are in addition to optional events.

Territory Protection

BodyROK grants franchisees a defined exclusive territory, typically ranging from one-quarter mile in urban areas to two miles in rural areas, surrounding their outlet. Within this territory, BodyROK commits not to authorize or operate another BodyROK retail outlet, as long as the franchisee complies with the terms of the agreement.

This territorial protection is clearly outlined in the franchise agreement and is designed to support local franchisee operations without internal brand competition.

However, BodyROK retains significant rights within and outside the franchisee’s territory. The franchisor may market and sell BodyROK services through other distribution channels such as the Internet, mobile apps, and non-retail venues even within the protected territory.
