What is the total investment?
The initial investment required for a ActiKare In Home Care Services franchise is $33,000 - $58,000. That is the total cost you would need to finance if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
What is the initial franchise fee?
The initial franchise fee for a ActiKare In Home Care Services franchise is $19,750 - $39,750. This is typically paid upfront as part of the total initial investment, after signature of the Franchise Agreeement.
ActiKare In-Home Care Services provides several training programs to properly prepare its franchisees for operation. Here are the programs offered:
Initial Training Program ActiKare requires franchisees to complete a 10-hour web-based pre-training and post-training course, along with approximately 2–3 days of corporate classroom training conducted either at headquarters in Tampa, Florida, online, or at a mutually agreed location. Franchisees must successfully complete this training within 180 days of signing the Franchise Agreement or within 60 days of receiving any required state license.
Virtual One-on-One Online Training If a franchisee chooses not to attend on-site classroom training, ActiKare offers a virtual one-on-one online training alternative. This method requires participation and successful completion of the training through online sessions, and additional fees may apply.
Pre-Opening Dedicated Support Following the initial training, franchisees are assigned a dedicated support team to assist with two additional phases of pre-opening training. This phase covers tasks like rate setting, marketing campaign setup, caretaker recruitment, and back-office preparation, and it must be successfully completed before marketing to and accepting clients.
Ongoing Training and Conferences ActiKare offers continued training through scheduled phone support, electronic conferences, and occasional in-person conferences. Attendance at these conferences is optional, but they provide updates on system standards, operational techniques, and marketing strategies.
Territory Protection
ActiKare In-Home Care Services grants franchisees a protected territory that typically ranges between a population of 100,000 to 250,000 people. As long as the franchisee remains compliant with the Franchise Agreement, ActiKare will not operate or allow another ActiKare business within that designated area.
Franchisees must operate strictly within their assigned territory, and written permission is required to service clients outside of it. However, ActiKare retains several rights that limit full exclusivity.
The franchisor can advertise, solicit franchisees, and conduct national marketing efforts that may impact the franchisee's territory. Furthermore, while franchisees have protection within their assigned area, they do not automatically have rights to additional territories and must seek approval to purchase any expansion areas.
