Training

It includes numerous pre-opening activities such as creating a financial plan, reviewing operations manuals, setting up insurance, and arranging advertising. The program is self-guided with support from the franchisor’s training team and includes online modules and manuals.
2. Business Manager and Technical Operations Training
   After completing the Jumpstart Program, franchisees attend this in-person training, typically lasting up to six days. It is conducted at the headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, or other designated locations. This training covers operational, managerial, and technical skills necessary for running the business and must be completed within four months of signing the Franchise Agreement.
3. Refresher Training and Conferences
   The franchisor requires attendance at the Z Plumberz Convention and periodic refresher training sessions, typically not more than once per year. These cover updates on technical skills, marketing, business planning, and strategies to enhance profitability.

Territory Protection

Z Plumberz grants its franchisees a defined territory, typically covering a population between 200,000 and 350,000 people, where they have the right to advertise, market, and provide services.

While franchisees have protected rights within this territory, the agreement clearly states that it is not an exclusive territory, meaning they may face competition from other franchisees, company-owned outlets, or other channels controlled by the franchisor.

Franchisees are also restricted from advertising or servicing customers outside their assigned territory without prior approval.
