Training

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning provides a robust and structured training program to ensure franchisees are well-prepared to operate their businesses efficiently and in alignment with brand standards. The training components are comprehensive and span both pre-opening and ongoing phases. The key training programs are:

  1. Initial Training Program: Required for the Key Person and any designated Owners, this program includes classroom-style sessions called “Branded Operations Orientation Training” (BOOT). The training may be offered in person, by video, or online and typically occurs 3 to 9 weeks prior to opening.
  2. Training Content and Format: Topics include using the Success Academy Online (SAO) learning platform, understanding operations manuals, and service delivery proficiency. Completion may require passing tests, and the franchisor may terminate the agreement if participants fail to meet expectations.
  3. Ongoing and Supplemental Training: After opening, One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning offers both mandatory and optional training sessions as needed. These may be delivered through various formats and may include instructor-led courses, webinars, or third-party training.

Territory Protection

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning offers its franchisees a defined protected territory during the term of their Franchise Agreement, provided they comply with all requirements, including minimum performance standards.

Within this territory, the franchisor agrees not to operate or authorize another franchise under the same brand. The territory is typically structured around population blocks of approximately 100,000 people and defined using postal zip codes.

However, this protection comes with limitations. The franchisor and its affiliates retain broad rights, including operating similar or dissimilar businesses using different marks, and converting businesses acquired through mergers or acquisitions into franchises within existing territories.
