Training

Bluefrog Plumbing + Drain provides comprehensive training to its franchisees to ensure they are fully prepared to operate a franchise under their brand. The training programs offered by the franchisor are structured as follows:

  1. Initial Training Program
Franchisees and their designated personnel must attend an initial training program before opening the business. This program covers essential operations, technical skills, sales techniques, marketing strategies, and administrative processes necessary to operate the franchise successfully.
  2. Training Location and Attendance
The initial training is typically conducted at Bluefrog Plumbing + Drain's headquarters or at a designated training facility. The franchisee (or designated owners) and up to three key personnel are required to attend. Attendance at all required training sessions is mandatory.
  3. Costs Associated with Training
While the franchisor provides the training without additional tuition fees beyond the initial training fee, franchisees must cover all associated travel, accommodation, meals, and incidental expenses for their attendees. Additionally, if the franchisor sends trainers to the franchisee’s location for any specialized training, the franchisee must pay the travel and living expenses of the trainers.

Territory Protection

Bluefrog Plumbing + Drain does provide a form of territory protection for its franchisees, but it is not an exclusive guarantee. Each franchisee is assigned a "Market Territory," which is typically defined by ZIP codes, political boundaries, or geographic features and usually contains between 250,000 and 500,000 people.

Franchisees are restricted from marketing, soliciting, or operating outside of their assigned Market Territory without prior authorization from the franchisor. However, the protection is somewhat limited, as Bluefrog Plumbing + Drain retains certain rights even within the assigned territories.

While they commit not to establish another franchise office within your Market Territory as long as you comply with the Franchise Agreement, they still reserve the right to conduct marketing, advertising, or sales activities (including through the internet and alternative channels) within any territory, including yours.
