Window Gang specializes in professional window cleaning and exterior cleaning services, offering customers reliable and efficient solutions for maintaining clean and well-maintained properties.

Window Gang has established itself as a premier provider of window cleaning and exterior maintenance solutions for both residential and commercial properties. Founded in 1986 in Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, the company has expanded its reach and now operates from its corporate headquarters in Charlottesville, Virginia.

In 1996, Window Gang began offering franchise opportunities, enabling entrepreneurs to become part of its growing network.

Training

Window Gang provides a structured training program designed to prepare franchisees for successful business operations. The programs offered are as follows:

  1. Initial Training Program
Window Gang requires the franchisee (or its principal owner) and the Manager to attend and successfully complete an initial training program before the business can open. This training must be completed within three months of the Franchise Agreement’s effective date, and while no fee is charged for participation, franchisees are responsible for all associated travel and living expenses.
  2. Employee Training Program
Franchisees must implement a training program for their employees that has been approved by Window Gang. The franchisee is responsible for ensuring all employees are properly trained and that no employee who fails the training or is unqualified is employed at the business.
  3. Additional and Ongoing Training
Franchisees, Managers, and employees may be required to attend additional training programs from time to time as determined necessary by Window Gang. This includes training for new market developments, system updates, or operational improvements, which may be conducted online, at headquarters, or at the franchisee’s location.

Territory Protection

Window Gang grants each franchisee a Protected Territory, which is geographically defined by ZIP Codes and typically includes between 50,000 to 80,000 single-family dwellings.

Within this Protected Territory, Window Gang agrees not to establish or license another franchise providing the same residential or “light commercial” services using the Window Gang brand. The franchisee is required to operate exclusively within this territory and must obtain prior written consent for any service or advertising efforts outside of it.

However, the protection offered by Window Gang is limited and subject to several reservations. The franchisor retains the right to service National Accounts that might operate within a franchisee’s Protected Territory, meaning larger clients with operations across multiple territories may be served directly by the franchisor.
