Maid Brigade Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Maid Brigade offers professional residential cleaning services, providing clients with thorough and reliable house cleaning solutions to maintain a clean and healthy living environment.

Maid Brigade is a national residential cleaning franchise founded in 1979 in the United States. Headquartered in Atlanta since 1985, it began franchising the following year and now operates in over 400 franchised territories across the U.S., Canada, and Ireland.

The company offers comprehensive home-cleaning services, including recurring house cleaning, business cleaning, disinfection, and its signature green-cleaning programs.

Services are delivered through their proprietary “Green Clean Certified” system, which uses Green Seal-certified products, high-efficiency vacuums, and microfiber tools to provide safer, eco-friendly results.

Maid Brigade differentiates itself with its strong environmental commitment and employee-based model. It was the first major national cleaning franchise to implement certified green products and processes. All cleaners are company employees, not contractors, ensuring consistent training, quality, and reliability.

Training

Maid Brigade offers franchisees several comprehensive training programs to prepare and support them in operating their business effectively:

  1. Pre-Opening Training: Conducted through a private website and their Confidential Operations Manual, this training is mandatory before business commencement. It focuses on foundational knowledge and familiarization with Maid Brigade's systems and processes.
  2. New Franchisee Training: Delivered either virtually or at an existing franchise location, this program includes hands-on experience across key operational areas such as administration, marketing, employee relations, customer service, and proprietary software. Up to three attendees can participate at no charge, though they must cover their travel and lodging costs.
  3. Blastoff Training: Provided on-site at the franchisee's office, this training offers practical setup assistance, help with initial staff hiring, and structured employee training frameworks. It also covers in-house sales, phone operations, software usage, and daily management tasks.

Territory Protection

Maid Brigade provides each franchisee with an exclusive “Operating Territory” where no other Maid Brigade franchise can operate. The territory size varies by region and is clearly defined in the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees must market and provide services only within their assigned area.

They may serve customers outside their territory only with permission and must relinquish those customers if that area is later assigned to another franchisee. Additionally, Maid Brigade may sell services or products through other channels within the territory, and underperformance in large territories may lead to partial territory loss.
