Two Maids Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

Two Maids provides professional residential cleaning services, offering thorough and reliable cleaning solutions for homes of all sizes to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment for clients.

Two Maids has become a prominent name in the residential cleaning industry, delivering professional cleaning services to households across the United States. Launched in 2003 by Ron Holt in Birmingham, Alabama, the company has grown steadily and now operates more than 150 locations nationwide as of 2024.

The brand began franchising in 2013, offering an accessible investment model with relatively low startup costs. This opportunity attracts entrepreneurs looking for a business with strong profit potential, minimal overhead, and the benefit of recurring revenue. Many clients choose ongoing services, such as bi-weekly cleanings, which supports long-term income stability for franchisees.

What distinguishes Two Maids from competitors is its signature “Pay for Performance” system. This compensation strategy ties employee pay to customer satisfaction scores, promoting accountability and service excellence.

Training

Two Maids provides a multi-tiered training program to prepare franchisees and their staff for successfully operating a cleaning service business. The program is structured to cover pre-opening, ongoing operations, and staff development.

  1. Initial Training Program: This training is required for the franchisee’s manager and includes instruction on the Two Maids system, approved services, operational procedures, and policies. It is provided before the business opens, and Two Maids offers a $1,000 travel voucher to offset training travel costs.
  2. Additional Management Training: If the franchisee designates other management personnel, they may also attend the Initial Training, subject to availability and completion of confidentiality agreements. A replacement manager must complete this training within 30 days of hiring.
  3. Staff Training: It is the responsibility of the trained franchisee or manager to train other staff members using proprietary materials and manuals, ensuring alignment with brand standards.

Territory Protection

Two Maids grants franchisees a "Protected Territory" defined by ZIP codes and typically encompassing at least 50,000 households. Within this area, the franchisor agrees not to establish or license another franchise using the Two Maids system or marks.

This protection remains in place as long as the franchisee is in compliance with the agreement.

However, the protection is limited and non-exclusive. Two Maids retains the right to operate outside the territory and may also serve National Accounts within the Protected Territory, regardless of whether those clients were solicited by the franchisee.
