Training

Touching Hearts provides a comprehensive suite of training programs to equip franchisees and their teams for successful operations. These are the key programs outlined:

  1. Initial Training Program: This mandatory one-week intensive program is offered to a Principal Owner and a General Manager (or designated employee). It includes online tutorials, classroom sessions, and on-site training covering business operations, approved services, marketing, cost control, and more. The training is typically held at the corporate headquarters in Minneapolis or another designated location.
  2. Supplemental and Refresher Training: Every calendar year, the franchisor may require the General Manager, Principal Owner, and selected employees to complete additional training programs. These programs are subject to fees and reimbursement of related costs incurred by the franchisor.
  3. Training Material and Resources: The training incorporates the Operations Manual, various specialist guides (marketing, insurance, HR/payroll), online IT training, and employee training packets. These resources are used both during initial instruction and for ongoing reference.
  4. Substitute and Replacement Training: If a designated trainee fails to meet qualifications or if a managerial change occurs, a substitute must attend and complete the training program at the franchisee’s expense. This ensures that all leadership remains compliant with current operational standards.

Territory Protection

Touching Hearts grants franchisees a Protected Territory where no other Touching Hearts franchise will be established during the agreement term. Franchisees must operate and market only within this area unless given written consent to act outside it. This protection remains even if the local population grows.

However, the territory is not exclusive. The franchisor can operate or license services via other channels, including online platforms, within the territory. If franchisees fail to meet sales targets, the franchisor may revoke territorial rights.
