Talem Home Care offers a structured and comprehensive training program for franchisees, as part of its franchise system. The training is segmented into the following key components:
Initial Training Program: This must be completed within 45 days before the franchise business opens. It includes both classroom and on-the-job instruction. Classroom training spans approximately 39 to 81 hours over one to two weeks, and may include remote training via phone or web platforms. Additional fees apply if more than two individuals attend, and attendees are responsible for their own travel, lodging, and meal costs.
Ongoing Training: After completing the initial program, franchisees are responsible for continuing the training of their employees according to the franchisor's standards and specifications. This includes refresher and system-wide training courses designated by the franchisor.
Supplemental Training: Offered optionally or required by the franchisor if operational standards are not met or if a new Operating Manager is hired. This training may be conducted at the franchisee’s location and is subject to approval. Fees include $300 per trainer per day plus travel and lodging expenses.
Territory Protection
Talem Home Care does not grant its franchisees exclusive territories. Franchisees may face competition from other Talem franchisees, company-owned outlets, or distribution channels under the same brand.
However, as long as the franchisee is in good standing and not in default, the franchisor agrees not to authorize the opening of another Talem Home Care business within the designated Operating Territory.
Despite this conditional protection, Talem Home Care retains broad Reserved Rights, including the ability to operate or license franchises outside the franchisee’s territory without compensation.
