Training

Snowfruit provides a structured and mandatory training program to ensure all franchisees and their staff are adequately prepared to operate a JFE Fresh-Cut Fruit and Vegetable unit.

  1. Initial Training Program: This core program consists of 20 hours over a one-week period and must be completed by the franchisee, any proposed managers, and any employees who handle food items. It is held at the franchisor’s headquarters or a designated location and costs $500 per participant.
  2. Certification Requirements: All training participants must attend the full program and successfully pass required certification exams to Franchisor’s satisfaction. Failure to meet these standards may lead to denial of franchise rights or require substitution of trainees.
  3. Ongoing and Additional Training: After the store opens, Snowfruit may require refresher, remedial, or supplemental training sessions. These are conducted at times and locations specified by the franchisor and are also subject to training fees.
  4. Training for Successor Managers: If a new manager is appointed after the store opens, they must complete the same Initial Training Program at the then-current fee.

Territory Protection

Snowfruit does not grant exclusive territory protection to its franchisees. Franchisees may face direct competition from other Snowfruit franchises, company-owned locations, or alternative distribution channels operated by the franchisor or its affiliates.

These competitors can be located near the franchisee’s store, and may even use similar or identical branding and products. The franchisor explicitly reserves the right to sell, market, or distribute its products through any means, including retail, wholesale, internet, catalog sales, and telemarketing, regardless of the proximity to a franchisee’s location.

This means a franchisee's operational area is not shielded from encroachment or competition from within the same brand. The agreement emphasizes that the franchise grant is nonexclusive and subject to these distribution strategies to support broader business goals.
