Training

Sign Gypsies provides its franchisees with a concise yet structured training program designed to support the successful operation of the franchised business. The training and ongoing support initiatives include the following:

  1. Initial Online Training Program
Franchisees gain access to an online training program within 15 days of signing the Franchise Agreement, but no later than 30 days before operations commence. This program includes 7.5 hours of virtual classroom training and no on-the-job training. It is led by the franchisor's founder, Stacey Hess, and is offered on an as-needed basis.
  2. Ongoing Assistance and Support
During the term of the agreement, the franchisor provides periodic advice on technical, marketing, operational, and general business matters. This support is delivered through various channels including email, phone, seminars, and online communications.
  3. Franchise Conventions
The franchisor may host system-wide meetings or conventions periodically. Attendance is mandatory at least once every two years, with the franchisee responsible for all associated costs.

Territory Protection

Sign Gypsies provides its franchisees with territory protection through an Area of Primary Responsibility (APR). The franchisor agrees not to allow any other franchisee or itself to install custom yard greetings at residences located within a franchisee’s APR.

This territory is defined by zip codes, travel time, physical boundaries, and is mapped in the Franchise Agreement. However, the territory protection does have exceptions.

Sign Gypsies reserves the right to sell celebratory yard signs under its brand names through alternative channels, such as the internet, retail locations, catalogs, and direct marketing. While franchisees maintain exclusivity within their APR for residential installations, the franchisor’s reserved rights ensure broader brand distribution.
