The Intelligent Assistant franchise is a business services concept that provides virtual receptionist, administrative support, and flexible office solutions to small and mid-sized businesses.

The franchise helps clients manage inbound calls, appointment scheduling, client intake, and daily administrative tasks without hiring in-house staff. Its services are designed to improve professionalism, responsiveness, and operational efficiency. The model targets entrepreneurs, professionals, and growing companies seeking scalable support services.

Intelligent Assistant operates as part of the broader Intelligent Office franchise system, which was founded in 1995 in Denver, Colorado. The concept was developed to address the rising demand for flexible office services and outsourced administrative support.

The brand began franchising in 1999, allowing independent owners to offer virtual assistance and office solutions in their local markets. Over time, the system expanded its service offerings to adapt to remote and hybrid work trends.

The franchise is currently headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida, and supports locations across the United States and Canada.

Training

Intelligent Assistant provides a comprehensive, multi-phase training program to ensure franchisees and their staff are well-prepared to operate the business. The training consists of the following core elements:

1. Remote Instruction
Franchisees and their designated management must complete remote training through webinars or a learning management system. This phase monitors participation, assesses retention through testing, and covers introductory content that must be completed before attending in-person sessions.

2. Corporate Training
This phase is delivered either in person at a designated location or virtually and must be completed at least 60 days before opening. It covers operational procedures, client services, and system standards. Failure to complete this training can lead to franchise agreement termination if not promptly remedied.

3. On-Site Training
During the 14 days leading up to the business launch, Intelligent Assistant provides up to 60 hours of in-person training at the franchisee's location. This support includes setup guidance and real-time operational training. The franchisor covers the costs of its staff’s travel and accommodations for this initial support.

4. Ongoing and Additional Training
Franchisees may be required to attend refresher courses, remedial training for compliance issues, or other additional programs. These sessions can occur at headquarters or other locations and may be subject to extra fees. Continued education is enforced through required use of system tools and periodic updates.

Territory Protection

Intelligent Assistant grants franchisees a Designated Territory within which certain protective rights are provided. While the franchisor agrees not to open or license another Intelligent Assistant Center using its trademarks within that territory during the term of the franchise agreement, this does not equate to full exclusivity.

The franchisor and its affiliates retain the right to operate similar businesses under different trademarks and may locate centers in non-traditional sites within the same area.

The Designated Territory varies based on demographics and location and is described through zip codes, landmarks, or mapping tools. The franchisee’s rights in this area are subject to compliance with the franchise agreement, and failure to meet obligations may result in the loss of these rights.
