Training

Lil’ Angels Photography offers a structured and comprehensive training program designed to equip franchisees and their staff with essential operational and business skills. The training includes both classroom instruction and field training, covering key aspects of the Lil’ Angels System such as marketing, sales, operations, and management. Here are the key components of the training:

  1. Initial New Owner Training
The franchisor provides a New Owner Training Class for up to two participants at no charge. This training is held at CPQ Colorchrome, Inc. in Cleveland, TN, and may also include field training in the franchisee’s territory with a franchisor representative or experienced franchisee.
  2. Mandatory Attendance
Franchisees, their managers, and any hired photographers must successfully complete the training before starting operations. If a photographer is hired later, they must attend unless the franchisee is certified to train photographers themselves.
  3. Ongoing and Additional Training
The franchisor may offer or require additional training sessions for management, administrative, sales, and photography staff. These sessions cost $500 per person, plus related expenses such as travel and lodging, which are borne by the franchisee.

Territory Protection

Lil’ Angels Photography provides its franchisees with an exclusive territory, typically covering a population of 300,000 or around 150 childcare centers. The territory boundaries are defined by geographic markers such as highways and county lines.

Within this area, neither Lil’ Angels nor any other franchisee is allowed to operate or solicit business, and franchisees themselves are restricted from operating outside their own territory without written permission.

The exclusivity is strictly enforced, and violations—such as conducting photo shoots outside the assigned area—can result in penalties up to $5,000 per event. Franchisees also must not use other distribution channels to sell outside their territory, and Lil’ Angels commits not to use or authorize others to use alternative trademarks for competing operations in the area.
