Row House is a premier chain of indoor rowing studios operated by Xponential Fitness LLC, headquartered in Irvine, California.
Founded in 2014 by Eric Von Frohlich and Debra Strougo, this boutique fitness brand revolves around the rowing concept for its exercise routines.
Row House champions rowing as the most effective workout, providing results while remaining exciting and low-risk, appealing to fitness enthusiasts.
The brand began offering franchises in 2017 and has since become one of the top fitness franchises in the U.S.
Row House offers a variety of rowing classes designed to cater to all fitness levels, emphasizing community and inclusivity. The workouts focus on building endurance, strength, and overall fitness in a group setting, making it an engaging and supportive environment for members.
The franchise provides comprehensive training and support to its franchisees, ensuring consistency and quality across all locations. With a growing emphasis on health and wellness, Row House continues to attract a dedicated following and expand its reach in the fitness industry.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
The Initial Training Program, which includes the "Owner/Operator Module," must be completed before the studio opens. This training is free for individuals attending before the studio's opening, provided they attend simultaneously. However, if additional individuals wish to attend the program at a different time or if a third-party individual is designated as a manager, a training fee may be charged by the franchisor.
RH University Program
The RH University Program is a proprietary training designed to offer instructors additional guidelines and instructions for delivering approved services according to the System. This program can be conducted virtually through live or prerecorded modules.
Ongoing/Refresher and Additional Training
Franchisees and certain management personnel are required to attend up to five days of additional or refresher training annually. There is no fee for this mandatory training. However, if specific training is requested by the franchisee or if the franchisor provides on-site training at the franchisee's studio, the franchisor may charge its current training fee.
Costs and Expenses
Franchisees are responsible for all costs and expenses, including travel-related expenses, incurred by themselves or their personnel for attending or participating in any training program. The franchisor does not cover these costs.
The franchise offers territory protection within specific parameters, although it is not exclusive. The franchisor retains certain rights that could influence the franchisee's use of the territory. Potential franchisees must thoroughly understand these terms and how they may impact their business operations.
Additionally, the franchisor may grant rights to other franchisees or operate competing businesses within the protected territory under certain conditions. This can include establishing company-owned studios or granting rights to third parties.
