PuroClean, founded in 1990, is a leading property damage restoration franchise headquartered in Tamarac, Florida. Since its early beginnings, the company has expanded to nearly 500 franchise locations across North America, offering a range of services including water damage remediation, fire and smoke damage restoration, mold removal, and biohazard cleanup for both residential and commercial clients.
Known as “The Paramedics of Property Damage®,” PuroClean has built a strong reputation for providing rapid and professional assistance during critical emergencies.
The company began franchising in 1991, just one year after its founding, and has since developed a wide-reaching network of independently owned and operated franchise locations.
PuroClean's commitment to customer service excellence has earned it strong relationships with major insurance companies and property managers across the country. Each office operates with technicians who are carefully screened, fully insured, and trained in the latest restoration techniques and technologies.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
PuroClean provides comprehensive training to its franchisees to ensure they are fully prepared to operate their businesses effectively. The franchise offers a structured training system that addresses both pre-opening and operational needs. Here’s how the training is organized:
PuroClean provides its franchisees with a Protected Office Location (POL), but it does not grant an exclusive territory. While franchisees operate within their designated POL, PuroClean reserves the right to market, sell, and even establish businesses outside of the franchisee’s POL boundaries.
This means franchisees may face competition from other PuroClean franchisees, company-owned outlets, or other affiliated brands, although PuroClean commits not to set up another PuroClean business from an office located inside a franchisee’s specific POL.
Additionally, PuroClean may assign a “Halo” territory surrounding the franchisee's POL, which provides a limited additional protection. While no office can be opened within the Halo territory by another franchisee during its effectiveness, this Halo designation is non-exclusive and can be modified or terminated at the franchisor’s discretion.
