GarageExperts provides a structured training framework to ensure franchisees are well-equipped to operate their businesses effectively. The franchisor offers the following training programs:
Initial Training Program This consists of approximately five days of training held at the GarageExperts training facility in Grapevine, Texas. It covers IT setup, lead management tools, sales and branding, 3-D design software, cabinet assembly, equipment handling, and operations. Attendance is required for the general manager and one major owner, with the option to include additional attendees at the franchisee’s expense.
Optional Additional On-Site Franchise Training Franchisees may choose to attend an additional one-week training session at an existing franchise location. This hands-on experience provides deeper insight into day-to-day operations and is especially beneficial for accelerating early growth. All travel and lodging costs are the responsibility of the franchisee.
Refresher Training Upon request and depending on availability, GarageExperts offers refresher training sessions at its corporate office. These sessions revisit key topics from the initial training and are intended to reinforce operational knowledge. While the training is free, franchisees must cover travel-related expenses.
Territory Protection
GarageExperts provides franchisees with a defined “Trade Area,” which is described in the Franchise Agreement and typically includes 50,000 to 100,000 qualified households. This territory is meant to serve as the primary market for the franchisee, and GarageExperts agrees not to open another franchise within that area.
However, this does not mean that the territory is exclusive, as the franchisor retains significant rights to operate or authorize others to operate similar businesses using different trademarks both within and outside a franchisee’s territory.
While GarageExperts normally directs inquiries originating from within a franchisee’s territory to that franchise, the franchisor and its affiliates can still sell and promote similar services using different trademarks or through channels such as online sales, catalog marketing, and trade shows.
