FIT4MOM is a top fitness franchise for moms. It was founded in 2001 in Encinitas, California. The company is now based in San Diego. It has become the largest pre- and postnatal fitness brand in the U.S.
The brand started franchising shortly after launching. The FIT4MOM On-Demand platform launched in 2020 to meet digital demand.
FIT4MOM offers fitness classes made for every stage of motherhood. Programs include stroller-based workouts, mom-only fitness, and prenatal sessions. Signature classes include Stroller Strides, Body Boost, and FIT4BABY. The franchise also provides virtual classes and hosts mom-focused events.
FIT4MOM stands out through community and mission. It supports moms with safe workouts, emotional wellness, and friendship. The franchise promotes diversity and flexibility.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
FIT4MOM provides a comprehensive suite of training programs to ensure franchisees and their staff are fully prepared to operate within the brand’s system:
FIT4MOM grants its franchisees an exclusive territory in which they are the only authorized operators offering FIT4MOM Classes. This exclusivity ensures that neither the franchisor nor any other franchisee will open a FIT4MOM business within the approved territory as long as the franchisee remains compliant with the agreement.
The territory is defined geographically and is based on population tiers depending on the pricing plan selected. Franchisees are not allowed to conduct Classes outside their territory without written approval, although customers from any location can attend classes within the territory.
Additionally, franchisees may advertise outside their area only under specific conditions, avoiding direct marketing into another franchisee’s zone. While the territory protects fitness class operations, the franchisor reserves the right to sell retail products bearing the FIT4MOM brand within the same territory.
