DELISH DELIVERED is a local meal delivery franchise founded in 2013 in Mequon, Wisconsin. It began as Milwaukee’s first prepared-meal delivery service by founder and CEO Kathy Burghardt.
The company is headquartered in Mequon, WI, under Delish Franchising LLC. The franchising entity was officially formed on April 14, 2022, and signed its first franchise deals that same year.
DELISH DELIVERED offers chef-developed, fully cooked meals delivered fresh to clients’ doors. Meals are ready to microwave in just three minutes, offering convenience and quality without the hassle of cooking.
The brand started franchising in 2022 and now offers franchise opportunities with low overhead and home-based flexibility.
DELISH DELIVERED differentiates itself by blending local, chef-made meals with a strong community focus. It appeals to busy professionals, seniors, single parents, and health-conscious individuals who want fresh meals without the cleanup.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
DELISH DELIVERED provides a structured and multi-phase training program to support franchisees in operating their businesses successfully. Here are the main training programs offered:
DELISH DELIVERED provides limited territory protection to its franchisees. Once the franchised location and lease are approved, the franchisor assigns a “Protected Area” typically encompassing approximately 50,000 people or a radius (such as three miles in suburban zones).
Within this Protected Area, Delish Delivered agrees not to authorize other franchisees to provide delivery services to customers. However, the franchise does not offer exclusive territorial rights.
Franchisees may still face competition from other units using different brands owned by the franchisor or from online and alternative distribution channels. Moreover, in urban locations with a population over one million, the franchisor may not assign any Protected Area at all.
