30 Minute Hit is a distinctive fitness brand that offers a dynamic, efficient, and engaging boxing and kickboxing circuit specifically for women.
Founded in 2004 in North Vancouver, British Columbia by Deanna and Jackson Loychuk, the brand aims to inspire and empower women of all ages, shapes, abilities, and fitness backgrounds.
The gym provides women-focused services, including specialized classes, equipment, and training, with the added benefit of flexible scheduling that doesn’t require members to adhere to set class times.
30 Minute Hit offers an intense, action-packed 30-minute boxing and kickboxing circuit workout designed to be both challenging and motivating, accommodating all fitness levels in a friendly, non-intimidating, and energetic environment.
Over the years, the brand has expanded into various communities and entered the US market in 2019, starting with eight franchises and plans for further growth. The brand began franchising in 2006 and, by 2022, had grown to 76 locations, including 17 franchises in the US.
Here's what you would need to invest if you were to start this franchise. These costs are provided by the franchisor in the Franchise Disclosure Document.
Upon signing the Franchise Agreement, franchisees receive comprehensive guidance and training on selecting suitable sites. This includes assistance with choosing real estate brokers and agents.
Before the gym's launch, the franchise provides operations training for up to two owners of the franchise. This "Owner Training" spans roughly 10 days, with 7 days conducted at the franchise's headquarters.
Experienced trainers conduct physical training, covering the 30 Minute Hit® brand, boxing, kickboxing, self-defense, and physical fitness techniques.
Admin training is delivered by personnel with extensive experience in 30 Minute Hit® administrative operations.
These sessions focus on workout techniques and are offered periodically. Training is currently available online or through electronic media.
Staff training, including evaluations for roles such as Gym Manager and General Manager, is conducted online or via platforms like Skype® or similar electronic media.
There are territorial protections in place for passive investment. As long as the franchisee complies with the Franchise Agreement, the franchisor will not grant a franchise for, nor operate, a 30 MINUTE HIT® Gym from a fixed location within the franchisee's Designated Area.
The Designated Area is typically defined as the area within an approximate 10-minute drive time. The franchisor does not have a specific formula for defining the shape or size of the Designated Areas, but it usually requires that at least 30,000 people live or reside within the area.
Additionally, the franchisor may use any type of Internet, Intranet, e-mail, or other means of electronic communication to offer or sell products and services bearing the Marks or Copyrights anywhere, including within the franchisee's Designated Area, without providing any compensation to the franchisee.
