Waxxpot is a modern waxing salon franchise that offers full-body hair removal services for both men and women. Founded in 2014 by Daniel Sadd in Columbus, Ohio, the brand began franchising in 2020.

Its corporate headquarters remain in Columbus, reflecting its roots in the Midwest. Waxxpot has expanded to over 20 locations across the U.S., combining corporate and franchise units.

The franchise specializes in waxing services, including Brazilian, bikini, facial, and body waxing, as well as lash and brow tinting and lash lifting.

Waxxpot differentiates itself through its proprietary two-wax formula, which is gentler on the skin and more effective at removing finer hair compared to traditional hard waxes. This innovation enhances client comfort and efficiency, with Brazilian services taking 15 minutes or less.

Training

Waxxpot provides a structured training framework for its franchisees to ensure consistency and quality across all locations. The training is mandatory and must be completed before the opening of the franchise unit.

  1. Initial Management Training Program: This program is required for the Franchisee, the Principal Owner, and a Principal Operator (if any). It covers the Waxxpot system, techniques, operations, ordering, accounting, quality standards, and includes hands-on experience. Training occurs online and in-person at Waxxpot’s Corporate Training Center and designated franchise locations.
  2. Initial Waxx Specialist (Aesthetician) Training Program: This program is tailored for aestheticians and covers technical services, customer interaction standards, and sanitation procedures. It includes both classroom and on-the-job components to ensure skill development in actual service environments.
  3. Additional and On-Site Assistance: Franchisees can request additional training, which is available at a daily rate and includes costs for travel and lodging. This support is offered to maintain standards or address performance concerns.
  4. Training for Operating Partners and Replacements: Any new Operating Partner must complete training within 60 days of appointment. This also applies to Principal Operators, and training is conducted at the Columbus, Ohio headquarters or another designated location.

Territory Protection

Waxxpot grants each franchisee a protected territory, which is either mapped or described in writing. Within this area, the franchisee has the right to operate their location, and Waxxpot agrees not to open or allow another Waxxpot-branded franchise within this zone, as long as the franchisee follows all terms of the agreement.

This means franchisees are shielded from direct competition by other Waxxpot franchises inside their protected area.

However, this is not an exclusive territory. Waxxpot can still compete with franchisees through company-owned locations or by selling products and services in the protected territory using alternative methods like online sales, catalog sales, or mobile services.
