Training

Uni K Wax provides a comprehensive set of initial training programs designed to equip franchisees and their staff with the necessary skills to operate a successful Studio. The training programs are as follows:

  1. Orientation Training
A 5-hour virtual session for franchise owners covering new franchisee orientation, real estate processes, project management software, and precertification preparation.
  2. Management Training
A 5-day in-person training at the corporate headquarters and a company-owned Studio. It includes intensive instruction on daily operations, staff management, reporting, and customer service.
  3. Waxer Certification Training
A 10-day training (5 days virtual, 5 days onsite) to certify Waxers on the brand’s proprietary waxing techniques and service standards.
  4. Onsite Preopening Training
Conducted at the franchisee's Studio location, this training helps staff transition into live operations and reinforce learned practices before official opening.
  5. Bounce-Back Training
This program offers post-opening support to help stabilize operations and address any early-stage performance gaps.
  6. Certified Waxer Instructor Training
Designed for staff members who will be responsible for ongoing waxer training and recertification, enabling internal capacity for continuous training.

Territory Protection

Uni K Wax provides its franchisees with an exclusive territory that typically includes a minimum population of 25,000, though most territories are around 50,000. This exclusivity means the franchisor will not establish or license another Uni K Wax Studio within the defined territory during the term of the franchise agreement. The boundaries of this territory are identified either in the franchise agreement or after site approval.

While franchisees are protected from other Studios being established within their assigned territory, this protection does not prevent the franchisor from altering territory boundaries upon renewal.

Additionally, franchisees are restricted from using alternative channels like internet or catalog sales for marketing or sales both within and outside their territory. However, they are not restricted from soliciting customers from any location, meaning customer outreach is flexible despite geographical boundaries.
