Training

Sir Speedy provides a comprehensive set of training programs for franchisees to ensure the successful operation of each center. Here are the main training initiatives offered:

  1. Print Management University (Initial Training Program)
This mandatory 6-day training is held at Sir Speedy's corporate facility in Mission Viejo, California. It includes 44 hours of instruction covering production management, marketing and sales, business and financial management, and employee management. Franchisees must attend this program within 90 days of signing the Franchise Agreement and complete it before opening or taking ownership of a center.
  2. On-Site Opening Support
Sir Speedy sends an opening and training representative to assist franchisees on-site for five days to help set up the new center and provide further training.
  3. Sales Training
An experienced sales trainer works with the franchisee for three days, focusing specifically on outside sales strategies and execution.

Territory Protection

Sir Speedy offers franchisees a protected territory rather than an exclusive one. The franchisor commits not to establish another Sir Speedy franchise or company-owned center within this protected area, which is typically at least a half-mile radius and defined by specific street boundaries.

However, this protection does not apply in dense metropolitan areas, where multiple franchises may be granted nearby due to business concentration. Despite this protection, Sir Speedy and its affiliates retain the right to market or sell services via alternative channels such as the internet, even within a franchisee’s protected territory.

Additionally, affiliated brands like PIP and Signal Graphics may operate within the same geographic zone and compete for the same customers. Franchisees may also serve customers and market beyond their own territories, including into those of other franchisees.
