It remains headquartered in Irving, TX and has grown from a local sign manufacturer into a globally recognized brand.

Training

ASI provides several structured training programs to equip franchisees with the knowledge and skills required to operate within their system effectively. These programs include both mandatory and optional components designed to support the franchisee from pre-launch through ongoing operations:

  1. Initial Training Program
ASI provides twelve days of comprehensive initial training for the franchisee's designated representative, which must be completed before operations begin. This training takes place at ASI’s headquarters or a designated location and includes operational and system-specific instruction. Successful completion is a condition for franchise approval; failure may result in cancellation and a refund of the franchise fee.
  2. Initial Marketing and Sales Support
Alongside training, ASI assigns a staff member for ten days to assist with launching a local sales campaign and implementing the Initial Marketing Program. This on-site support helps set up equipment and prepares the franchisee and staff for daily operations. The goal is to ensure a strong market introduction and operational readiness.
  3. Ongoing and Continuing Training
ASI offers additional training courses throughout the franchise term, which may be mandatory and may incur additional charges. These courses are held at various locations and aim to keep franchisees updated on system improvements, product innovations, and operational procedures. Travel and accommodation costs for these sessions are the responsibility of the franchisee.

Territory Protection

ASI grants its franchisees a defined geographic territory, which is detailed in Exhibit A of the Franchise Agreement. This territory is designated prior to the commencement of business operations and is a critical part of the franchise grant.

The franchisee is expected to operate solely within this assigned area, helping to ensure market clarity and reduce internal competition among franchisees. While the franchisee's territory is clearly established, ASI retains certain rights that could affect exclusivity.

For instance, ASI does not guarantee that other forms of distribution—such as national accounts or internet-based sales—won’t affect the franchisee's territory. Nonetheless, the assigned territory helps protect the franchisee’s investment and provides a foundation for building a local market presence.
