SFC Team Franchise FDD, Costs & Fees (2025)

SFC Team offers professional cleaning services for commercial and residential properties, ensuring clean and well-maintained environments.

Sticky Fingers Cooking (SFC) is a dynamic children's education franchise that blends culinary arts with academic learning. Founded in 2011 by Erin Fletter in Denver, Colorado, SFC has grown into a nationwide brand. The company began franchising in 2022 and is headquartered in Denver, Colorado.

SFC offers mobile cooking classes for children, integrating subjects like math, science, and global cultures into hands-on culinary experiences. Their proprietary DASH tech platform streamlines operations, handling 85% of daily tasks and allowing franchisees to focus on community engagement and program delivery.

What sets SFC apart is its non-brick-and-mortar model, enabling classes in schools, camps, and community centers without the need for a commercial kitchen. This approach results in low overhead and high scalability.

Training

SFC Team provides a detailed and multi-stage training program for its franchisees to ensure effective business operation and compliance. The franchise places strong emphasis on initial and ongoing education, combining classroom, online, and hands-on experiences. Here are the primary training components:

  1. Initial Training Program
Franchisees and their principals must complete the Initial Training Program to the franchisor’s satisfaction, including a prerequisite ServSafe® Food Handler certification. This program includes classroom training, in-person instruction at the headquarters or another designated site, and covers business setup, brand history, culture, marketing, and operational procedures.
  2. On-Site Opening Training
Within 30 days of opening, the franchisor provides up to three days of on-site training and supervision at no additional cost. This includes setup guidance and real-time support for launching the business.
  3. Ongoing and Additional Training
Franchisees are required to attend up to three days of mandatory additional training each year, which may include national meetings or conventions. These sessions are offered at designated locations, and all associated costs including travel and lodging are covered by the franchisee.

Territory Protection

SFC Team grants its franchisees a protected territory that includes 75,000 to 100,000 children aged 3 to 12, based on school population data. Franchisees have the exclusive right to operate within this territory as long as they meet performance standards and comply with the agreement.

The business must be run from an office located within the territory, which can be home-based. However, the franchisor retains the right to sell products and services through other distribution channels such as retail stores and the internet, even within the protected area.

Franchisees do not receive compensation from these alternative sales. If minimum class requirements are not met, the franchisor may reduce the size of the territory or terminate exclusivity.
