Training

Home Frite delivers a comprehensive and multi-phase training program to prepare franchisees for launching and managing their operations. The training includes a mix of classroom instruction, on-the-job learning, and online modules.

  1. Pre-Training Modules: Franchisees and their key staff must complete web-based modules on brand culture, equipment use, and software systems before attending in-person sessions.
  2. Initial Training Program: This mandatory program spans approximately two weeks (around ten days) and includes classroom and on-the-job components. It is conducted in Brooklyn, New York or another location designated by Home Frite, and must be completed three to four weeks prior to opening. Tuition and materials for the Franchisee and one manager are covered by the franchisor, but all travel and living expenses are the franchisee’s responsibility.
  3. In-Restaurant Training: Up to seven days of pre-opening training and seven days of post-opening training may be provided at the franchisee's location, subject to staff availability.
  4. Training Curriculum: The training includes specific hours for various topics—Recipe Management (7 hours on-the-job), Menu Preparation (13 hours on-the-job), Guest Service (1 hour classroom, 6 on-the-job), and Inventory Management (2 hours classroom, 2 on-the-job).
  5. Ongoing and Supplemental Training: The franchisor may require attendance at future training sessions and conferences. Additional training costs $500 per staff person per day, plus expenses.

Territory Protection

Home Frite provides each franchisee with a defined territory, but it does not grant exclusive rights. While the franchisor agrees not to open another Home Frite location within the assigned territory during the agreement term, this protection is conditional on the franchisee maintaining full compliance.

The specific size and boundaries of the territory are determined based on market characteristics, demographics, and shopping patterns.

Despite the designated territory, Home Frite retains broad rights to operate through other channels. The franchisor and its affiliates may sell products using the same trademarks through alternative methods such as online platforms, non-traditional venues like airports or stadiums, or via mobile units—even within the franchisee's territory.
