Training

EcoGreen Lawn Care offers a multi-phase training program to prepare franchisees for opening and operating their business. The training includes:

  1. Initial Management Training Program
Franchisees must complete a nine-day Initial Management Training Program at the franchisor’s headquarters in East Norriton, Pennsylvania. This program is mandatory and must be satisfactorily completed prior to opening. While no fee is charged for up to two participants, franchisees are responsible for all associated travel and living expenses.
  2. Mandatory Additional Training and Annual Meetings
The franchisor may require franchisees or their principals to attend up to five days of additional training or annual conventions each year. Failure to attend such sessions constitutes a default of the franchise agreement. These may include a reasonable fee and always require the franchisee to cover incidental costs such as travel, lodging, and meals.
  3. In-Territory Remedial Training
If needed or requested, EcoGreen will provide additional in-person or remote remedial training to support the franchisee's performance. The franchisee must cover the costs associated with these services, including per diem and travel expenses for trainers.
  4. Ongoing Support and Consultation
Franchisees receive ongoing operational support, which may include consultations via phone, video calls, or other communication methods. This assistance covers areas like employee training, marketing strategies, and business improvements.

Territory Protection

EcoGreen Lawn Care provides franchisees with a designated territory outlined in their Franchise Agreement. This territory must contain at least 60,000 single-family households and is determined based on geographic and demographic criteria.

While the franchisor will not establish another EcoGreen Lawn Care location within the franchisee's territory during the term of the agreement—as long as the franchisee is not in default—this protection is not exclusive.

The franchisor retains the right to operate through alternative distribution channels within the franchisee’s territory, including internet sales, retail partnerships, and national accounts. Franchisees are not entitled to compensation from these sales, and the franchisor may service large-scale or multi-location clients directly or through other franchisees.
