Training

Deli Delicious provides a comprehensive training program for its franchisees and their staff to ensure operational excellence and compliance with brand standards. The training is mandatory and involves both classroom instruction and hands-on practice at their headquarters.

  1. Initial Training Program
Franchisees must complete a 14-day initial training at Deli Delicious’ corporate headquarters in Fresno, California. This training is included in the franchise fee and must be completed by the franchisee, a proposed manager, and/or key personnel. Participants must pass a final exam with a minimum score of 90%, and any failures require an additional 5-day training at the franchisee's cost.
  2. Pre-Opening and Grand Opening Support
The franchisor provides up to 5 days of on-site support during pre-opening or grand opening phases. This service is included as part of the initial training program, though all related travel and lodging expenses are the franchisee’s responsibility.
  3. Ongoing and Supplemental Training
Deli Delicious offers ongoing training programs, workshops, and refresher courses throughout the life of the franchise. These are typically held quarterly and may involve registration fees and travel expenses. Additional training is also available on request, generally charged at $300 per day per person.

Territory Protection

Deli Delicious provides limited territory protection to its franchisees, typically not exceeding a two-mile radius around the restaurant location. If a territory is granted, the franchisor agrees not to establish another Deli Delicious restaurant—either company-owned or franchised—within that defined area during the agreement’s term.

The territory is determined based on factors such as market demographics, foot traffic, and potential for success.

However, the franchisee’s exclusivity is restricted. Deli Delicious retains the right to sell or distribute its products via other channels, including the internet or direct marketing, even within a franchisee’s territory.
